Leaders take tasks to heart. They are straightforward towards the people they supervise and tell them directly what they expect from them. They acknowledge good performance and evaluate their employees' behavior.
Essential Competence No. 3: Believe in Others
Leaders entrust their department or their team with certain tasks and provide them with a job, resources and leeway for action. They have faith that the team will work on its own terms as soon as it receives less support from them.
